About The RCM Engineer

The RCM Engineer is a weekly newsletter on how AI and technology can solve the biggest problems in healthcare revenue cycle, explained in plain English.

What you get

One problem per issue, every Monday. Each one covers:

  1. The pain. What’s going wrong and what it costs you.
  2. The fix. What AI can do about it today, and what it can’t.
  3. Your next move. What to try, and what to ask before you spend a dollar.

Who it’s for

Independent practice owners and revenue cycle managers. You’re busy and focused on getting paid, not on software. You don’t need to know anything about AI. You just need to know what’s costing you time and money.

Who writes it

I’m Mike. I come from an engineering background and have spent the past few years in revenue cycle.

What I do is look at a painful, repetitive process, find where the hours and dollars are leaking, and ask: can technology fix this, and what would it take? Sometimes the answer is yes. Sometimes it’s “not yet.” I’ll tell you either way.

What this isn’t

Not a news feed, not a roundup of what launched this week, and not a vendor pitch. If I mention a tool, it’s because it solves something real.
